In an effort to slim down amid profit plunges and other troubles, struggling cosmetic firm Avon Products Inc. is cutting jobs and leaving Ireland.
Having faced a variety of issues over the years, CEO Sheri McCoy is looking to breathe life back into the company. According to reports, the most recent move is that Avon is eliminating more than 400 positions and will shutter its business in Ireland. It will also re-evaluate select businesses in Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
Avon said the job cuts, which account for about 1% of its global workforce, will be “spread across all regions and functions.”
