Axalta expands Thailand operations with third Cromax Color Center

MAJOR global liquid and powder coatings supplier Axalta Coating Systems has recently inaugurated its Cromax (R) Color Center in Chiang Rai, Thailand together with key distributor Northern Car Paint Co. Ltd.

 

The Cromax Color Center is the company’s third in Thailand following two centers in Udonthani, in the northeast region, and Nakhonsawan, in the lower north region. It includes a Color Technology Center, a full range of Cromax product lines, and a mixing machine for Cromax. It offers body shops easy access to Axalta’s comprehensive range of Cromax high-quality automotive refinish products, one of Axalta’s premium flagship automotive coating brands comprising putty, primers, and clearcoats. 

 

The Color Technology Center boasts Axalta’s latest automated color-matching technology, the Acquire II spectrophotometer. Designed to enhance body shop productivity while lowering costs, the Acquire II spectrophotometer finds the best available formula from a database of more than 500,000 choices and customizes this formula to match the exact color of the vehicle, whether produced locally or imported from overseas. 

 

According to Axalta managing director Passorn Iriyapichart, the third Cromax center reflects the company’s continuous investment to help body shop and collision repair customers achieve productivity goals from the front of the body shop to the back.

The opening ceremony for the third Thailand facility was presided over by Iriyapichart, former Vice Minister of Commerce Sarit Ung-apinan, and Northern Car Paint general manager Natapon Wattanaporn.
