Baerlocher, a leading global producer of innovative additives for the plastics industry, announced the installation of a new laboratory in the United States. With this move, the company accommodates the vital U.S. market and directly provides its vast know-how in the formulation of customized additive systems to the U.S. plastics industry.
For almost a quarter-century, Baerlocher has maintained production facilities in the U.S. Since 2002, the Baerlocher Production USA LLCC has been located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Baerlocher USA has extensive technical know-how in the fields of PVC stabilizers and metallic stearates as well as with all polymer additives.
Leveraging this expertise, Baerlocher is now expanding its exposure to the U.S. market with a new cutting-edge laboratory capable of simulating customer production processes and the evaluation of critical raw materials. This lab will support the American plastics industry with the development of highly customized additive systems tailored to specific customer needs.
The laboratory will further support Baerlocher as a quality partner for the industry in its endeavor to continuously optimize processes and products, and will also help to switch to sustainable additives such as Ca-based systems.
The laboratory will be an integral part of Baerlocher′s global research and development activities in new lubricant and stabilization systems.
“The strong global presence, combined with extensive local support for our customers, is an important pillar of our corporate philosophy,” said Arne Schulle, CEO of the Baerlocher Group of Companies. “This enables us to contribute to shaping the industry on a global level while helping our customers to adapt the latest technologies in a timely manner, taking regional requirements into account. We are pleased that, with the new lab, we can implement this integrated approach of development and production in the U.S. now, leading to a significant increase of customer intimacy.”
