Ball acquires Sonoco facilities for multiple-sized closures

BALL Corporation (NYSE: BLL), a leading manufacturer of completely recyclable two- and three-piece steel food cans, has recently announced its acquisition of Sonoco's metal end and closure facilities in Canton, Ohio.

The company said the newly acquired plants which manufacture multiple-sized closures for the food can market, will form part of its global metal food and household products packaging division.
