Barrier Plastics adds 6L jerry can to product line

BARRIER Plastics, Inc. adds a 6L jerry can to its Baritainer® product line. The company spent a year developing this product which is made with HDPE and the Quoral® Barrier Resin (BR), a proprietary barrier resin additive for high-density polyethylene that uses laminate technology. As so, it is light but at the same time safe for packaging and shipping strong chemicals requiring barrier protection. It can be used to ship ingredients such as flavorings and edible and essential oils. According to the company, this 6L jerry can is low-cost alternative to 1.5g lined steel tight head cans.

 “We developed this additional 6L size incorporating Quoral barrier technology at the request of our customers who desired a full Baritainer® product line that solves all of their packaging and shipping requirements,” said Kevin Callahan, the COO of Barrier Plastics.

Quoral® Barrier Resin is manufactured by BP Polymers, a sister company of Barrier Plastics.
