COCOA and chocolate products manufacturer Barry Callebaut is poised to participate in the growth potential of the Turkish market. The company is building a new plant in Eskisehir at the Central Anatolia region, to be near confectionery customers. Its presence there will help fill the need for high-quality chocolate and chocolate compounds, as well as technical services and innovation. The facility, which opens by mid-2013, will have an initial capacity of 15,000 tonnes and offer 50 new jobs. About CHF 15 million (EUR 12 million/USD 16 million) is being invested in the project.
