BASF to expand PU network in Tianjin

BASF SE, Ludwigshafen, Germany, is expanding its global network with another sys tem house in China for polyurethane (PU) solutions. The system house will be established in Tianjin and will start full operations by 2012. Tianjin, as the biggest commercial centre in North China with 12 million residents, has strong strategic importance. Moreover, BASF expects continued above-average market growth for PU products in the fields of construction, household appliances, infrastructure and transport in China. The Tianjin unit will be an important link in the network currently comprising 38 system houses.
