JAKARTA – BASF plans to introduce new nutrition concepts at Food Ingredients Asia (Fi Asia) 2014 in the Jakarta International Expo, to allow manufacturers to capture double-digit consumer demand growth.
Indonesian consumers expect value for money plus “something extra” in their foods, beverages and supplements, analysts have noted. To benefit from this growing sophistication and the projected 14% growth in functional food and beverage (Euromonitor, “Health and Wellness in Indonesia”, 2014), manufacturers must provide innovative health ingredients that leap further than just to support general well-being.
BASF Nutrition & Health helps manufacturers meet these requirements with a number of consumer food, beverage and dietary supplement concepts for manufacturers to leverage.
