Source: Release Date:2010-06-04 119
A GLOBAL 10% increase in the price for vitamin B2 products for human and animal nutrition from BASF took effect on May 10, which is necessary to reflect higher prices for raw materials. BASF produces vitamin B2 (riboflavin) by fermentation. Furthermore, BASF is to shut down the production of vitamin B2 at its facility in Gunsan, South Korea, a few weeks in August 2010 to conduct its annual routine overhaul. BASF will continue to meet all supply commitments to customers during that time. BASF East Asia Regional Headquarters Ltd.
