BAYER presented its new product innovation, the Baycusan® C 2000 (INCI: polyurethane 64), at in-cosmetics Barcelona 2015 (Gran Via, April 14 to 16).

Unlike other film formers, Baycusan C 2000 does not require heating or neutralization, which translates into time, energy, and cost savings for manufacturers. Even small quantities used in sun protection formulations yield markedly greater SPF than conventional film formers based on in vivo tests. Emulsion- based sun protection formulations using Baycusan C 1000 demonstrate this result.
According to Bayer, tests for compliance with guidelines from Colipa, the European cosmetic industry’s trade association, have confirmed Baycusan C 2000-based sun care products are fully waterproof once applied and retain their protective function even if users jump into the water. This means the product can be used to develop waterproof products for active adults and children.
Baycusan C 2000 features exceptional sensory properties that ensure smooth application and easy absorption and leave the skin feeling great. Its non-piling effect prevents the formation of a "milky" film or unwanted lumps, making it ideal for users who like the feeling of wet skin when sunbathing.
