Personal Care
To help visitors pinpoint top ingredients to look out for, the show organizer has identified the most popular categories and launched Product Trails.
While consumers have their favourite products, they are constantly on the lookout for those that promise to do even more for their skin and hair. This leaves manufacturers with the hard task of finding the right ingredient to make their product stand out from the crowd.

With more than 360+ exhibitors displaying over 240 new products at this month's in-cosmetics Asia, it’s set to be a vibrant event full of innovative ingredients for the next generation of personal care products.

To help visitors pinpoint top ingredients to look out for, the show organizer has asked industry experts to identify the most popular categories at the show and launched Product Trails which lead visitors to selected exhibitor stands to find out more.

In line with the show’s Korea Country Focus, Florence Bernardin from Information and Inspiration has put together her top 10 South Korean ingredients on display at the show. Demonstrating the region's dynamism, the South Korea trail includes an ingredient that promises to fight thermal ageing as well as photo ageing, a stabilised whitening agent, a bee venom for anti-acne, and many more.

In addition to the South Korea product trail, three Product Trails – anti-acne, anti-ageing and skin whitening – each signpost 10 exhibitor innovations as selected by industry experts.

Among the exciting products on display in the anti-acne trail, visitors will find a natural ingredient called Pore Reductyl by Spanish exhibitor Cobiosa (Stand A50). Derived from the pulp of fomes officinalis, it helps tighten pores and adds moisture to the skin. What’s more, Adbiotech (Stand C56) from the U.S. has created Purified DEY Concentrated Powder, which uses an antibody extracted from egg yolk with skin irritation and anti-acne effects.

Anti-ageing products on show include IBR-Gapture, a jojoba leaf extract, made by Israel-based company IBR (Stand J36) that helps improve skin structure. There’s also a hydroglycerinated extract of French blackcurrant buds, ProdyGem 02, made by Laboratoires Prod’Hyg (Stand L29), that claims to give vitality and energy to skin. Visitors can see award-winning product Neodermyl that acts as a 'needle-free collagen and elastin filler' from Swiss company Induchem (Stand F30).

For those visitors interested in skin whitening, the trail highlights products such as a quasi drug – Ethyl Ascorbic Acid – that inhibits the polymerisation of melanin monomers, by Nippon Fine Chemical in Tokyo (Stand E65). There’s also French-based Sensient’s (Stand H30) three-in-one whitening surface treatment, Sensibright Dual White WD, which offers an instant optical effect; something that will appeal to today’s time-poor consumer.

in-cosmetics Asia will also be putting innovation in the spotlight by displaying recent ingredient launches in the Innovation Zone, where some of the ingredients in the Product Trails are also displayed. Visitors can plan their visit to exhibitors’ stands, as well as test formulations on the Innovation Zone.
