Tung Yu has moved to explore a bigger international market through a new collaboration that enables it to deliver vastly improved machines performance. This forms the highlight of an exhibit at K 2013. Mr. Wang Wen Yi, Deputy Manager, provides International Plastics News for Asia (IRNA) an overview of its recent efforts.
IRNA: What is the importance of your collaboration with REP and how would this put Tung Yung’s products in the global map?
Mr. Wang: REP is a local agent who helps us in exploring the EU and American markets. At K 2013, we work with REP to participate in the fair. Due to the high labour costs in the EU and the US, we developed machines that would answer the demand for efficient, yet low-cost production. Our main products on exhibit are injection moulding machines. REP is responsible for some core injection units, and we finished the rest of the parts to make the machines ready for delivery to the buyers.
So for K2013, our team up with REP is visible through the injection moulding machines of REP, which guarantee savings on labour cost for buyers. We have been working together for about a decade, and within this period we learned a lot from REP. For the expansion of our products, REP has helped us a lot by introducing us to more advanced technologies available. Such partnership with REP has been beneficial to us.
IRNA: How would you describe your local and global operations? Where are your factories situated?
Mr. Wang: Tung Yu provides high-tech solutions that increase the production capacity to our end customers and make them more competitive. We love to create and devote our best because customer’s success is our success.
Equipped with ultramodern facilities and years of hydraulic machinery manufacturing experience, we guarantee ourselves to give customers profit-making, modern machines that are user friendly, safe and easy to maintain. Our advanced automated production equipment and exquisitely produced assembly lines fully demonstrate our capability. The direct participation of technical experts in the production process guarantees the utmost stability and reliability of our products.
We have a factory in Ningbo that is responsible for mass production of simple type machines, while our factory in Taiwan manufactures various types of machines with fewer quantities. Our factory in China is for the Chinese domestic market while our factory in Taiwan is for the global market.
IRNA: You have also set up branches in Japan and India. How are they going?
Mr. Wang: Our operations in both Japan and India are good. The branch in Japan works independently because Japanese locals know the market more than staff from Taiwan. The situation in India is the same. As I can say, in the world market we tend to rely and trust our local agents since we cannot reach that far. Also, people around the world have different work habits so it is better for locals to interact with local purchasers. Our marketing and after-service agents around the global are all integrated together. We contact local agents and then ensure they have service capability so the cooperation begins. As people know, machines require services to maintain their stable working conditions so our agents have to have skilled technicians in many cases. Besides professional knowledge, English proficiency is also important so the service will not be hampered by communication issue. However, if for some cases, the core technological problems cannot be fixed by agents then we will send our people and give customers a satisfying solution.
