Berry Plastics receives awards from Yum! Brands, Hormel Food

Berry Plastics Group, Inc. (NYSE: BERY) is proud to announce that it recently received multiple awards from two of its key customers—Yum! Brands and Hormel Foods Corporation.

Yum! Brands recognised Berry Plastics with three separate Supplier Tracking Assessment and Recognition (STAR) awards, related to the KFC Go Cup package, designed and developed by Berry, and launched in July 2013.

STAR is an industry-recognised audit system that sets and monitors standards for Yum! Brands’ suppliers. The three awards include:

-STAR Supplier – Packaging

-STAR Supplier – Innovation

-STAR Supplier of the Year

The STAR Supplier of the Year Award acknowledges the supply chain partner who has brought the highest level of value to the Yum! Brands: Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC.

Hormel recognition

Hormel Foods Corporation awarded Berry Plastics with its Spirit of Excellence Award in recognition of Berry Plastics’ for product packaging, including: Farmer John, Kids Kitchen, La Victoria, Chi Chi’s Salsa, Wholly Guacamole, Jennie-O, and Skippy Peanut Butter. To qualify for this award, Berry Plastics maintained a supplier rating index score of 92 or higher over a 12-month period. This score was achieved by meeting performance requirements, making on-time deliveries, and providing high-level customer support.
