Biocatalysts achieve Investors in People Gold status

For the Welsh expert in speciality enzymes, Biocatalyst Ltd, people are the backbone of the company.

This made achieving the Investors in People Gold status high on the agenda for 2013, following successful maintenance of the silver status for 12 years.

Biocatalysts not only sees this recognition as a testament to its continuous hard work over the past 25 years to achieve such a high level, but also learn from it whilst aspiring to improve and grow the business further, 

This is clear from the company vision which states, Our aim is to become and stay the world’s leading speciality enzyme company and by the quality and dedication of our people, exceed our customers’ expectations.

This vision shone through their assessment process with the following comment from their assessor, “Biocatalysts is clearly an organisation that strives for continuous improvements; this review demonstrated a range of improvements through effective planning, communication, learning and development at all levels and monitoring and reviewing of plans, targets and strategies.” Following the announcement of the awarded Gold status she went on to say, “Achieving Gold additional accreditation represents achievement of world class best practice and shows you are a truly cutting-edge organisation operating at the highest levels of people management practice.”

Biocatalysts says it will continue to aim high over the remainder of 2013 with plans to build a ￡2 million enzyme production plant with support from the Welsh government. These big improvements will enable the company to offer production techniques that are globally unique.
