Biryt packs beer with vitamins, energisers

Biryt Energy Beer is one of the latest drinks to originate from Lebanon. Marketed as a healthier alternative to other alcoholic drinks, the product does not contain caffeine, taurine, colourants, artificial flavours, fat or cholesterol, Instead, it contains seven energizing vitamins, including vitamin C as well as Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, B8, and B12.

Mixing caffeine and taurine with alcoholic beverages has proven to be quite unhealthy, leading to the ban of such drinks in the USA, with many countries following the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) ruling. This is why Biryt Energy Beer is quite revolutionary and represents an exception to the rule.

Asked whether energy drink lovers would appreciate the beer taste of Biryt, a company spokesman said, "Take a look at the energy drink industry and you'll see all kinds of new flavours that are continually being introduced. Why not have the taste of a great beer be another alternative?"

Biryt energy beer has already begun to establish a strong presence in Beirut, and  is available in about 1,700 pubs, bars, restaurants and stores around Lebanon. The brand has organised the giveaway of a Biryt Energy Beer 4-pack delivered straight to its consumers’ door. This was mainly done to increase awareness of the product and have as many people as possible try it. The brand will be launching in Paris, France around mid-March, with an expansion to Johannesburg, South Africa expected in early May.
