BOROUGE stressed its leading role in developing and enhancing the UAE petrochemical industry as one of the main production companies in the GCC during its participation at the Joint Fifteenth Gulf Exhibition being held from 26-30 May 2014 in Sharjah, UAE.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, accompanied by H.E. Sheikha Budour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Shurooq (Sharjah Investment and Development Authority), opened the exhibition which brought together over 200 companies representing the six GCC countries. The exhibition provided the participating companies, including Borouge, with a unique opportunity to showcase and promote their products, services and projects and network with counterparts from all the GCC countries.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, accompanied by H.E. Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, and high ranking guests toured the Joint Fifteenth Gulf Exhibition and visited the Borouge stand at which Sheikh Abdullah was briefed about the Company’s products and its contribution to the UAE national economy in particular, and to the GCC economy in general. At the stand, Abdulaziz Alhajri, CEO of Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge), explained about the innovative plastics solutions produced by Borouge for the infrastructure, automotive and advanced packaging markets. He also highlighted the continuous efforts of Borouge to create a variety of sustainable and value added solutions for society.
High level meetings have been held during the event between the heads of participating multi sector companies from all over the GCC countries where they discussed the best practices in various industries and the new development trends in doing business in the Gulf region.
