Borouge to open a representative office in Jakarta

In line with its investment programme for increasing its polyolefin (PO) production capacity in Abu Dhabi from 2 million tonnes per year (t/y) to 4.5 million (t/y) by 2014 and along with its strategy to be closer to its customers, Borouge is preparing to establish a Market Development team in Indonesia to support the business growth strategy for Indonesia. The opening of the Representative Office in Indonesia is scheduled for the second quarter of 2013. “With a forecasted increase of approximately 7-8 percent in demand for plastics and hundreds of infrastructural pipeline projects to be implemented in the next few years, the Indonesian market is of growing importance to Borouge,” says Jae Cho, Senior Vice President of Asia South at Borouge.
