KOACT(R) is more effective than calcium and vitamin D in slowing bone loss, according to a new study by a Florida State University researcher published in the Journal of Medicinal Food.
The KOACT supplement is a calcium-collagen chelate. The research by Bahram H. Arjmandi, Margaret A. Sitton professor in the Department of Nutrition, Food and Exercise Sciences and director of the Center for Advancing Exercise and Nutrition Research on Aging (CAENRA) at Florida State, shows that it performs better in ensuring bone health than calcium and vitamin D, which are generally thought of as the first line of defence when it comes to bone health.
Professor Arjmandi studied the impact of the dietary supplement KOACT versus calcium and vitamin D on bone loss over 12 months.
