AFTER years of pilot tests in the United States, the coffee giant Starbucks has pushed through with its plan to serve craft beer and wine to customers in what it calls Starbucks Evenings.

The coffee shop will be serving Prosecco, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Moscato, Pinot Noir, Red Blend, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as a number of curated craft beers. Along with these drinks is a menu of carefully selected small plates to match. Patrons can choose truffle mac & cheese, salumi (prosciutto, salami), cheese plate (Irish Cheddar, Machego, and more), and meatballs with basil sauce, to name a few.
Starbucks Evenings, a concept created in 2010 to battle dwindling sales, according to a report in USA Today, aims to attract the after-work crowd and will be available in US outlets in Denver, Miami, Orlando, Brooklyn, and Northern California markets.
