Perfect chocolate clusters, in all their simplicity, are not easy to produce. In fact, makers find it challenging to put together cereals and/or dried fruit and bind them with 70% chocolate without the chocolate overpowering the entire cluster and compromising texture. But Carmit Candy says, after a series of trials, it has struck the right balance between percentage of ingredient and chocolate viscosity. The new chocolate cluster, with crispy cereal, chewy dried fruit and milk/dark chocolate, is also gluten-free.

The clusters line from the company includes a mix of gluten-free cereals, dried fruits and/or nuts. In place of chocolate, yoghurt may be used. They can be custom packed in different sizes and shapes as private-label for marketers, restaurant chains and retailers, and for on-the-go packages or a multi-pack.
“Our new line of gluten-free clusters targets both the mainstream market and the specific niches of people suffering from Celiac Disease/Gluten Intolerance and those following a gluten-free lifestyle,” said Steve Grun, CEO of Carmit. “This has been a strong focus for Carmit over the past decade.”
Base in Israel, Carmit is a leading private-label manufacturer for gluten-free, dairy-free and fortified confectionery and bakery products. The company will be at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California, from 7-9 March (booth #571), where it will introduce the new line of clusters.
