Chemco Group to set up factory in Bahrain

Indian PET manufacturing company, Chemco Group, is constructing a factory at the Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP) in Salman Industrial City . This follows an introductory visit led by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) who provided support. Chemco Group’s new factory in Bahrain will turn out products for both local and regional companies. The official announcement came following a meeting held between HE Kamal bin Ahmed, Minister of Transportation and Acting Chief Executive of the Bahrain EDB, and Chemco Group top officials, where they discussed plans for the company to operate in Bahrain including the various job opportunities that it will provide to Bahrainis and the benefits to the local market. Chemco’s investment in Bahrain is expected to reach $10 million with expansion planned up until 2015 and is expected to reach $20 million by 2017. The new facility will create over 80 jobs for the local market, and is expected to increase by 15 - 20% year on year to create at least 20 more jobs by 2017. www.chemcogroup.com
