
The global plastics industry has been developing in full swing nowadays. With the world's economy focus continues to shift eastward, Southeast Asia is getting more attention in the plastics industry. The low labour and operation costs in this region have made it an ideal place for multinational manufacturers to establish their production bases.
Benefiting from this, a variety of application industries like automotive, building, electronics industries and other various mid and high-end application industries in countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand have experienced continuous growth, which stimulated the demand for plastics and rubber. In addition, green manufacturing is now gaining global importance which set a higher environmental standard for today's plastics industry. Thus, it is imperative to develop green plastics.
As Asia's No.1 and world's No.2 plastics and rubber trade fair, CHINAPLAS 2013 (the 27th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries), which will be held on May 20-23, 2013 at China Import and Export Fair Complex, Pazhou, Guangzhou, PR China, will offer a valuable demonstration platform for Southeast Asia's plastics and rubber processing industries as well as their application industries.
In 2012, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia were ranked among the top 10 importing countries of China's plastics machinery in terms of value. This year, CHINAPLAS will expect more than 1,700 exhibitors to display their plastics and rubber machinery, auxiliary and processing equipment such as blow moulding machinery, extrusion machinery, injection molding machinery and rubber processing machinery, etc.
Over 2,900 exhibitors from 38 countries and regions will jointly showcase a series of advanced plastics and rubber technologies for both Chinese and overseas visitors. Besides Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, PR China, Taiwan, Turkey, U.K and U.S.A., there will be two new country pavilions from Switzerland and Singapore. Moreover, more than 500 new exhibitors will participate at CHINAPLAS 2013 for their first time, including Guangdong Friend, Jiangsu ASG, Bo Langte, Shanghai GIE, Dongguan Enmair, Cowin, JT MOLD and Bestar, etc..
