This year is widely regarded as another crucial one for the global economy, with political and environment issues being significant factors that would affect overall industrial performance. Despite the strong impact of the economic instability in Europe and America on China’s exports industry, Asia's No.1 and world's No.2 plastics and rubber exhibition, CHINAPLAS 2012, garnered enthusiastic support from global enterprises as it staged its grand opening on April 18. The event presents manufacturers of the world under an integrated plastics and rubber application arena where innovations and technological advancements are highlighted. In addition to that, CHINAPLAS 2012 also provides an excellent platform for the launch of new concepts relating to environment protection, energy saving, as well as carbon emission reduction, and showing how plastics and rubber can turn such new concepts into reality.
The four-day exhibition will be held until April 21 (Saturday). It is expected that over 100,000 Chinese and foreign professional buyers will attend this exhibition, in order to observe and source chemical raw materials and various types of plastics and rubber technology.
Benefitting from the booming development of the upstream and downstream economy of China's plastics and rubber industries, as well as the active promotion of the green economic initiatives by the Chinese Government, CHINAPLAS 2012 made a great improvement, evident by the double-digit growth in terms of both show size and the number of exhibitors. Compared with the edition held in Guangzhou in 2011, CHINAPLAS 2012 has expanded in size from 180,000 square meters to 210,000 square meters, representing an increase by 17%. Also, the show scale has increased by over 40% when compared to the 2010's Shanghai show. The number of exhibitors also rose by 13% and 28%, respectively.
More than 2,700 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions display over 2,500 units of machinery and the latest chemicals and raw materials. In addition, the show has secured the support from 13 country/region pavilions, including Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, PR China, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, the United States and two new pavilions from Thailand and South Korea.
Mr. Stanley Chu, chairman of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, said, "This year, the theme of CHINAPLAS is ‘The Future is in Plastics and Rubber'. We hope that the global industry players can share their industry knowledge about the wide range of application of plastics and rubber technology, and that plastics and rubber, being treated as new material, can become a vital part in improving our future life and contributing to energy conservation and environmental protection. We also hope that the new technology on plastics and rubber can push forward the continuous development. "
Bioplastic focus
Following the global interest in bioplastics development, "The 4th International Seminar on Bioplastics Applications" is concurrently held from April 18-19 to provide in-depth discussions and case studies about natural bio-plastics. Global bioplastics professionals, government officials and buyers around the world are invited to join the forums, in order to share their insights and experiences on the innovation and applied technology of bioplastics.
The exhibition is held in conjunction with over 70 seminars for technological exchange with wide range of topics. They include the application of plastics and rubber on automobile and auto parts, tires, electronics, optoelectronics, home appliances, cables, packaging, medical and personal care, household itemNIKE AIR HUARACHE
