Plastics & Rubber
Andritz supplies a full-range of lines for the production of commodity films and films for specialty market.

ANDRITZ is set to present its strong capabilities in supplying comprehensive system solutions for the production of biaxially oriented films – from raw material storage to the winder. The company has over 30 years of experience in sequential stretching technology

Based on in-depth experience, the ANDRITZ team can offer the right customer solution in terms of capacity, performance, configuration, and energy saving, while complying with the individual specifications given by the plastic films producers. Sequential stretching is used for more than 95% of all biaxially oriented films. ANDRITZ Biax supplies a full-range of lines for the production of commodity films and additionally offers state-of-the-art lines for the specialty market, such as capacitor film made from BOPP or BOPET.

The company’s patented MESIM technology is a mechanical simultaneous film stretching process for the production of biaxially oriented films with special properties and outstanding quality. The film can be oriented in machine direction with ratios between 0.6 and 7 for controlled relaxation or stretching, while in transverse direction it can be stretched between 1 and 10. The ANDRITZ MESIM technology is capable of producing film at 45° stretching orientation at highest precision. In addition, the unique design of the chains-clips-system accounts for utmost energy efficiency of these simultaneous stretching machines.

The innovative MESIM design is very user-friendly and has low maintenance costs. It enables producers of biaxially oriented films to generate very attractive returns. These films fit perfectly for such growing markets as LCD screens, technical films, or high-value food and non-food packaging.

The ANDRITZ Biax team is a part of international technology Group ANDRITZ with headquarters in Graz, Austria, and provides many benefits to customers with regard to technology, process know-how, and order execution. The sales and service base of ANDRITZ Biax in Foshan, China, is currently being extended to provide Asian customers with prompt and comprehensive service.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discuss the complete product portfolio with process experts at the ANDRITZ Biax booth K 41 in hall W5.
