CHINAPLAS 2014: Kiefel presents bestseller Speedformer KMD 78

The Speedformer KMD 78 is Kiefel’s global bestseller. It stands out thanks to continuous innovation, versatility and it’s robust, sophisticated and user-friendly design. The machine is used for the mass production of rigid packaging products made of PS, OPS, EPS, PP, PE, PVC, PET and PLA.  

Advanced technology is the secret. Equipped with black HTS ceramic heaters for the consistent distribution of heat-output, with well proven toggle drive and motorised upper-yoke adjustment for both the forming and cutting stations, the KMD 78 fulfils all the essential requirements for the cost-efficient production of rigid packaging components.  

The high degree of automation, the steel-rule cutter and the integrated stacking unit are worth mentioning in this context.  

The KMD 78 is equipped with a touch-screen-operated Siemens Simotion control system. Customers benefit from high yields, while profiting from low costs at the same time. The machine operates fast, quietly and with minimal energy consumption – while delivering absolutely constant quality.  

The unit can handle a maximum tool dimension of 780 x 560 mm, with a negative/positive formed-component height of up to 150 mm and a maximum film-width of 810 mm.  

At this year’s Chinaplas the Speedformer KMD 78 will be on demonstration with a tray tool processing clear APET material at Hall E1, Booth K01.
