CHINAPLAS 2014: Super high torque gearboxes from Zambello

The Zambello Group has been manufacturing gearboxes for twin-screw extruders starting from a centre distance between screws of 21.5 mm up to a centre distance between output shafts 116 mm. 

The increasing demand for higher performance by manufacturers of co-rotating twin-screw extruders has encouraged Zambello Riduttori to develop the new TST (Twin Super Torque) gearbox range. The new system of torque distribution has enabled considerable increase in the output speed (up to 1800 rpm.) and also the density of the transmissible torque (up to 35 Nm/cm3).

The current TST gearboxes are available in range starting with a centre distance of 21.5 mm (TST 21,5/26 COR) and reach 116 mm (TST 90/112 COR). However, bigger sizes are already planned.

The gearboxes of this series have been developed with compactness as key feature. Also for this series the axial thrust is supported by an axial roller-type swivel thrust-bearing of the 294..e series, coupled with thrust bearings assembled in tandem. All these bearings are purchased from well-known European manufacturers.

Zambello gearboxes are 100% made in Italy by Zambello Riduttori Group, in its two highly modernised and automated factories located at Magnago (MI) and Lendinara (RO), Italy.
