Mucomac Multi Component Special Machinery (GuangZhou) Co. Ltd presented its high tech metering and mixing systems for processing of LSR at CHINAPLAS 2016, including SilcoStar 923B, SilcoStar e-flow and plunger metering system Process FlowMix SERVO LSR.

“SilcoStar 923 was first released in 2011 and updated to new generation 923B last year. It improves the automation and operation interface. It can improve the usage of materials without affecting the features of LSR so that it helps cut cost. It has higher cost performance,” Sam Xu, Sales Manager introduced.

As to SilcoStar e-flow, its advantages include servo-electric driven variable mixing ratio, accurate flow control, processing monitoring via touch screen, significant space reduction, etc., which makes it suitable for cleanroom production. This system can be used for manufacturing medical applications such as respiratory mask and interventional medical devices.

PFM SERVO LSR is known for high-precision. It has low energy consumption, only little space needed and variable material supply (1l, 20l, 200l). It can be applied to automotive, optics, acoustics and implantable medical devices such as heart pacer.

Mr. Xu also mentioned that the application of LSR is getting more diverse since 2011, with applications expanding to include mobile phones, optics and acoustics. “The development of LSR in recent years is rising steadily. There might be ‘blowout’ for 3C products in one to two years because the demand for LSR for sealing purpose will be more common in mobile phones. The potential in optics and automotive industry is also huge. As far as we know, there are different manufacturers working on the application of LSR in car lighting. The physiological inertia and harmless feature will also drive its application in the medical sector. So the potential of LSR is quite huge in the next 5 years.”
