A new pre-engineered extrusion coating line from Davis-Standard can be delivered quickly – in as little as six months – and provides customers with all the capabilities and flexibility needed to ramp up and compete effectively for a variety of rapidly emerging application opportunities including salted snack and noodle bags, toothpaste tubes, sachet packs, personal care products, condiment packs and stand-up pouches. The dsX flex-pack? extrusion coating line provides converters and package printers with a high-value, competitively-priced system that will give them distinct advantages when seeking to expand sales in the price-sensitive global flexible packaging market.
The extrusion coating line was one of two new systems unveiled at Chinaplas by Davis-Standard CEO Bob Preston (centre in photo). The other was an ultra-compact medical tubing system.
All components of the dsX flex-pack are based on the company’s proven, feature-rich designs and technology that minimise technical risks and lower cost of ownership. Lines are available in two layouts to accommodate almost any plant space requirements. Advanced computer technology, standard on this Davis-Standard line, continually adjusts the product profile for best performance and allows for remote access of the line for troubleshooting and updating over a secure internet connection.
