Source:Chinaplas Online Release Date:2013-03-14 268
Plastics & Rubber
The concurrent event is named as "Archi-Light", which uses plastic building materials of various light transmittance in combination with the visual effect on buildings to exhibit the light transmittance of plastics and thus accomplish the target of less energy consumption.

With acceleration of urbanization and infrastructure construction, three key plastic building materials. such as plastic profiles, pipes and panels are entering a period of steady growth in China. Other new-type plastic building materials, such as plastic windows/doors, high-molecular waterproof materials, thermal insulating materials, solar diaphragm, plastic reinforced tile, wall support parts and building heating plastic pipes, have a full range of green building features from light weight, low energy consumption in production and application to outstanding thermal and electric resistance to speed up the revolution of green buildings.

The new generation plastic building materials are no longer functional and structural components concealed in buildings, but "art piece" that can exhibit a sense of beauty and attractive contents. For example, Beijing Water Cube, based on its fantastic design, used 100T multi-layer film structures of ETFE film materials to best exhibit the functional advantages and visual attraction of plastic buildings. With diversified functions, plastic building materials are suitable for various types of buildings, configurations and specifications. Meanwhile, they are developing in the direction of promoting building design flexibility to enable designers to make flexible use of the design conceptions while meeting the needs of architects for practicability and functionality.

Being Asia's No. 1 and world's No. 2 plastics and rubber exhibition, the 27th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries (known as "CHINAPLAS 2013") has always been concerned about the sustainable development and innovative application of the plastics and rubber. Every year the organizer will organize creative concurrent activities to arouse the concern of participants about the importance of continued development in a particular aspect.

This year, the theme focuses on novel and environmentally-friendly plastic construction materials which are aesthetically pleasing and practical. The concurrent event is named as "Archi-Light", which uses plastic building materials of various light transmittance in combination with the visual effect on buildings to exhibit the light transmittance of plastics and thus accomplish the target of less energy consumption.
