CHINAPLAS stages successful comeback in Guangzhou

2900+ exhibitors showcase high-tech plastics and rubber equipment and chemical materials in style. Visitors flocked first day.

Asia’s No.1 and the world's No.2 plastics and rubber exhibition – The 27th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries (“CHINAPLAS 2013”) staged its grand opening at the China Import & Export Fair Complex,  Pazhou, Guangzhou, PR China today (May 20) The exhibition offers a forward-looking platform which focuses on sustainable development of the industry and the integration of plastics and rubber applications and innovative technology into the manufacturing trade around the world. The four-day exhibition will be held until May 23 (Thursday) and is expected to attract more than 115,000 Chinese and foreign professional buyers looking to learn about, exchange and source chemicals and raw materials, and a variety of plastics and rubber technology.


Breaking new heights at Guangzhou CHINAPLAS 2013

Since CHINAPLAS’ debut in 1983, the continuous growth of the plastics and rubber industry has allowed it to consolidate and increase in scale, both in terms of the number of its exhibitors and its exhibition area. In comparison with the event held in Guangzhou in 2011, CHINAPLAS 2013, occupying an exhibition area of 220,000sqm, enjoys an increase of 22% and hits a record high. 


This year, the show hosts more than over 2,900 exhibitors from 38 countries and regions, and 15 countries/regions pavilions, including Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, PR China, Taiwan Province, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and the USA. Together they display a diverse range of chemicals and raw materials, and over 3,200 different items of plastics and rubber machinery. The number of machinery items being exhibited this year is 28% greater than those seen in 2012.


Exhibit Highlights

This year, many exhibitors will present innovative and environmentally friendly chemicals and equipment.

Wittmann Battenfeld presents its newly launched W808 mechanical arm which applies gravimetric dosing technology to assist enterprise automation. Foshan Battenfeld Cincinnati demonstrates its conEX, a new series conical twin-screw extruder. Akei Group launches its LIN-90-TSI 25L barrel all-electric blow-molding machine which could realize the single-mode head of 20-30L industrial barrels, dual-head production and is tailor-made for the packaging industry.
