To keep up with customer demands and meet market needs, Croda Polymer Additives showcased two unique products at Chinaplas 2013.
The first is the newly launched anti-fog concentrate in clear polypropylene food packaging for both hot and cold fogging applications. Atmer 7373 is effective in most grades of PP, and results have been particularly good in PP homopolymer.
Atmer 7373, supplied in a 40% concentrate in pellet form, overcomes many of the processing difficulties encountered when using traditional levels needed to impact antifogging.
“As a highly loaded concentrate, it’s particularly useful for converters who can easily handle its pellet form,” said Adam Maltby, Croda Polymer Additives application manager. “It’s also useful for masterbatch producers who can’t or don’t want to handle soft and pasty raw materials.
The second product to be showcased is a solution to improve the processing of polycarbonate, especially in sheet applications. IncroMax has been proven to reduce surface friction and improve mould release force to enhance extrusion and moulding of PC. The additive finds use in non-food applications such as glazing and glass replacement for the automotive and construction industries, where processing intricate parts and high optical clarity are required.
