CHINESE consumers are becoming more particular about food quality and safety, and the use of synthetic additives is a growing concern. For this reason, Chr. Hansen saw it was time to establish a centre that will respond fast to the natural colour requirements of its customers there. Its new office and a global expertise centre in the Changning district of Shanghai, were launched on 26 March.

During the occasion, Danish consul general, Nicolai Prytz said: “Since its founding Chr. Hansen’s solutions have always been based on strong research and development competencies. The opening of Chr. Hansen’s expertise centre in Shanghai today (26 March) confirms the company’s long-term commitment to the Chinese market offering value-added ingredients for the future.”Sten Estrup , Chr. Hansen group vice president, Asia Pacific, and country manager, China, Haiming Zhu, joined Mr Prytz at the launch.
