Christian Lindenhayn join Orion Engineered Carbons

Christian Lindenhayn will join Orion Engineered Carbons as Senior Vice President of the Rubber Business Line effective July 1, 2012.  He will lead the marketing, sales and applied technology functions for the tire and mechanical rubber goods industries worldwide, and will be based at Orion’s Americas’ headquarters in Kingwood, Texas.

Mr. Lindenhayn, who holds dual German/Brazilian citizenship, joined Bayer Brazil in 1988, and continued with Lanxess in 2004 when it was established as a separate entity from Bayer.  He held various marketing positions of increasing responsibility at Bayer/Lanxess in Brazil, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland and Singapore.  Since 2005 Lindenhayn was head of global marketing for the butyl rubber business of Lanxess.
