Strategic Polymers, Inc., the world's source for Electro-Mechanical Polymer actuators, announced the appointment of Dr. Christophe Ramstein as President and CEO. Mr. Ramstein is a known authority and driving force in the haptic industry with two decades of experience bringing haptic solutions to market. He replaces Ralph Russo who has served as President and CEO of Strategic Polymers since 2006. Mr. Russo, co-founder of SPS, becomes chairman of the Board replacing co-founder Qiming Zhang. Dr. Zhang takes on the role of scientific advisor.

He is the founder of Haptic Technologies Inc., a leading-edge award-winning haptics company acquired by Immersion in 2000. Ramstein is the author of numerous haptic patents and of a number of papers on haptics and multimodal user interfaces.
Dr. Ramstein holds a Master's degree from the Institute Joseph Fourier (Grenoble, France) as well as a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Polytechnic Institute (Grenoble, France).
