CIEH expands operations in the Middle East

FOOD, health and safety training specialist, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), announced that it will be expanding its international operations with the appointment of Abdul Rashid as director and general manager for the CIEH Middle East. Mr Rashid will focus on further developing the CIEH's commercial activities in the region and setting up a Dubai office to provide the region's clients with accredited food hygiene, health and safety, fire safety and environmental protection training courses.
Most recently regional director - Middle East, at Diversey Gulf FZE, Consulting and Training Division, Mr Rashid was also head of the Food Safety Unit at the Dubai Municipality, Food Control Department.
Mr Rashid said he was excited and privileged to lead the CIEH business operations in the Middle East, an organisation that he has been a professional member of for over 25 years. "The decision to have an office in the UAE also highlights the commitment of the CIEH, in being actively involved in promoting and improving public health in countries across the region," he said.
