A recent clinical study has validated the anti-blemish, unifying and lightening properties of Laboratoire PYC’s Pearl My Skin? formula, the reason why the company, a French B2B expert in dietary products and nutritional supplements, has enhanced its range of nutricosmetics.
A leading developer of instant beauty drinks in powder sticks, Laboratoire PYC has been making rapid progress in the search for effective skin solutions. The company’s Pearl My Skin formula has recently been the subject of a clinical study designed to validate its effectiveness and consumer usage. The product was developed with the aim of improving the radiance and uniformity of the skin’s complexion by helping to reduce dark spots.
The study was conducted on a group of 26 Caucasian and Asian women aged from 26 to 50 who took two sticks a day for two months. These sticks come in powder form, to which water is added to make an apple-flavoured drink containing vitamins, Pycnogenol?, French maritime pine bark extract, and pomegranate extract.
The study showed significant increase in skin radiance and brightness amongst the Caucasian women. These results were obtained by sensory assessment with the help of a panel of experts. The improvement was 16% after 28 days and 23% after 56 days.
As regards the Asian women, the study showed a noticeable and significant lightening effect -- using colorimetric measurement (spectrophotometer) -- on 78% of the subjects. An anti-blemish effect was noted after 28 days of using Pearl My Skin.
As a whole, the two groups of users rated their skin more uniform (61%) and more radiant (61%). The outcome of the trial confirmed earlier studies conducted on the ingredient Pycnogenol that produced interesting results on the size and colour intensity of dark spots on Asian women.
