CMB Engineering, exhibited some of its latest technologies at MetPack, including a canmaker, die sets, and a virtual reality software which can be used to train customers from all over the world remotely. For those who missed the showcase, the company presented for the first time the CMB 5610, the latest in a range of canmakers. The model, an energy-efficient solution to help can manufacturers reduce their operational costs, can be fitted with three clutch options – hydraulic, pneumatic or the hybrid clutch. Considering its clutch is dry running as well as hydraulically actuated, there is no need to rely on plant air or additional pumps. In addition, the machine has a variable frequency pump control as well as a standby mode feature, also designed to help save energy during downtime, potentially saving up to 27k Wh per hour.
“We are extremely pleased with the results and customer enquiries we’ve received for the CMB5610 canmaker; this machine has been specifically designed with our customers’ needs in mind,” says Marc Hoche, head of Sales.”
The 3D training software will help facilitate training for worldwide clients. It enables customers to interact with machinery parts whilst also receiving guidance from an engineer whois given remote access to the client side user interface, making it an ideal quick response and cost effective training option.
The company’s cupping die set embraces reliability, precision and quick change for all press types on both steel and aluminium. The machine was also presented as operator friendly, cost effective with an easily maintained tool.
“With a global customer base, we really value opportunities where we are able to meet customers and other industry professionals to present innovations that help shape the future of the canmaking industry,” says Mr Hoche.
