Color expert shares yellow and red trends

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky -- For over 80 years, Dorn Color has provided color samples to help leading companies in various industries increase sales. In a recent 'Expert Answers' video interview, D.D. Wlliamson invited Cindy Gapter to share her latest consumer inisghts within the yellow and red families. Ms Gapter is Dorn's Technical Sales director.

At a recent color trend workshop, Ms Gapter explained, "Yellow was more the green-yellow. We actually made it a green and an orange, so we had a marigold color."

The forecast yellow "has less of a sharp edge to it," said Ms Gapter, adding, "so now the green-yellow is warmer and more usable."

Red beverages with citrus flavors will trend toward a yellow red. For "more of a blueberry or berry type flavor," blue reds are the direction, she also said.
