The ColorMatrix office in Cape Town, South Africa has officially opened and it represents the latest addition to its network of sites serving customers around the globe. Guests were invited to join in the celebrations, which kicked off in true African style with a traditional African drummers ceremony. Guest of honour was the Western Cape's Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Alan Winde, and guests were treated to a tour of the new premises. The new facility in Montague Gardens has a floor space of 1,800 sq.m. comprising of an office space, a colour laboratory and warehouse space.
Services at the new site include sales, technical support and an on-site colour laboratory for rapid colour development. The company has already been supplying customers in South Africa for 12 years and the facility is expected to enable quick response to customers in the polyethylene terephthalate packaging, polyvinyl chloride extrusion and injection moulding industries. The immediate focus is to deepen support for existing customers who manufacture products such as PET containers, mainly for the beverage and personal care markets, whilst seeking to strengthen the company’s position and explore new market opportunities in the African region.
