KraussMaffei Berstorff supplies process engineering solutions for polyolefin- and PVC-based WPC systems. The corotating twin-screw extruders are ideally suited to direct extrusion of WPC. KraussMaffei Berstorff 's modular, building-block systems for the housing and screw ensure that each extrusion line is perfectly adapted to the intended processing task. One salient advantage of this process lies in the fact that the natural fibers can be metered to the extruder without energy-intensive predrying. Counter-rotating twins crew extruders are used to process polyolefins and PVC based compounds. With their optimized flight and inter - screw clearance, extruders from KraussMaffei Berst or ff show minimal wear, even processing highlyfilled composites. Both corotating and counter-rotating processes deliver homogenous material processing, low melt temperatures and a stable pressure profile for the whole output range. High-performance extrusion enables output rates of up to 1000 kg an hour.
