Conference on food safety set for May 2014

FLEMING Gulf has scheduled the Food Safety & Quality Conference on 7-8 May 2014 in Muscat, Oman, according to a report in the Arabian News. The conference aims to open discussions on the constraints, growth trends and untapped markets in the food safety and quality sector in the Sultanate.

H.E. Nabil A Molla, secretary general from GCC Standardization Organization is expected to deliver the special address. According to reports, food consumption in the Sultanate will grow 5.3%, of which 80% is imported.
