A third generation Italian food family business from Salerno, in the South of Italy, Coppola Foods will take part at the Thaifex food & beverage show to be held in Bangkok from 22to 26 May 2013.
Ernesto Coppola, managing director of Coppola Foods says, “The export of Italian food to the ASEAN area, including South Korea and Taiwan, reached €205m during the first 7 months of 2012, an increase of 15.5% compared to 2011. We believe there is a huge untapped potential for our Coppola products in the region. Our tomatoes, legumes, olive oil and pasta are authentic Italian and produced using only the finest ingredients of uncompromising quality and we hope they will be enjoyed in this part of the world as well.”
The company will present its premium quality Coppola products, including 100% Italian canned tomatoes grown in Southern Italy; traditional Italian legumes, packed in water with no salt added; extra virgin olive oil made from 100% Italian olives collected and milled in Southern Italy; and, 100% durum wheat semolina pasta made according to age-old quality traditions from Campania, shaped using bronze dies and slow-dried at low temperatures in order to keep the pasta proteinic and organoleptic properties unaltered.
Established in 1908 serving and trading food in Salerno, Italy, Coppola Foods has a long tradition of quality food products manufacturing and distribution. In 1952, Ernesto Coppola began canning and selling for the export markets the ripe and flavourful San Marzano tomatoes grown in the area. The third generation of the Coppola family continues to deliver authentic Italian staples – using all-natural, high-quality ingredients – that are the cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet.
