Corbion Purac completes expansion of N. American facility

LEADING biobased meat and food ingredients company, Corbion Purac has completed the expansion of its 10,000-square-feet research facility in Lenexa, Kansas. With a team of meat scientists, culinary technologists and microbiologists, the new site will support customers in their applications of the company’s products, and in evaluating the impact of the offered solutions on the sensory, functional and shelf-life properties of various foods, including ready-to-eat and fresh meats, sauces, dressings, refrigerated and prepared foods.

The facility will conduct research in line with the company’s meat and culinary strategy, including microbiology, predictive modeling, and other areas such as colour stability, yield enhancement, texture and flavour optimisation.
