IN-COSMETICS Korea, the new and only exhibition in Korea exclusively dedicated to personal care ingredients, is set to impress Korean and global cosmetic experts with the latest in trends, technologies, and products.
The trade event, which is scheduled to run on June 15 and 16 at Hall D1 of the Coex Exhibition Centre in Seoul, is expected to gather together more than 150 exhibitors, with about 60% coming from Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Malaysia, and the United States. Major multinational companies such as Dow Corning, Evonik, AkzoNobel, DSM, Dow Chemical, Clariant, Lubrizol, and Shin-Etsu are expected to showcase their latest offerings. Korean companies such as Activon, Bioland, Caregen, Damy Chemical, and KCC will highlight current and upcoming trends in the country.
in-cosmetics Korea is almost sold out with about four months to go, demonstrating the huge appeal of the event, which is custom-made for Asia’s third-largest cosmetic market. The June event is the in-cosmetics Group’s most successful launch to date, according to event organizer Reed Exhibitions.
“This event is targeted at Korea’s 1,500+ cosmetic manufacturers and we expect over 2,000 visitors, particularly formulators and R&D experts,” said in-cosmetics Korea Exhibition director Sarah Gibson.
Cosmetic manufacturers’ R&D experts and buyers can expect to learn more about global trends and new technologies during the two-day trade fair. The show’s Innovation Zone will highlight select new finished products from around the world chosen by market research agency Mintel for their allure and unique properties. The Zone will also showcase hand-picked ingredients launched within the last eight months.
Visitors to in-cosmetics Korea can avail of free educational programs on global trends and new technologies. Mintel’s Diane Park will kick off the educational programs on June 15 with the presentation on Global Beauty Innovation. This will be held at the Innovation, Marketing and Regulations Seminar and will focus on examining trends for manufacturers.
This will be followed by a full 2-day seminar schedule that aims to explore the latest technological advances and formulation expertise. The seminar will feature mainly international exhibitors such as Dow Chemical, DSM, Evonik, Lubrizol, Seppic, and Solabia.
Korean manufacturers looking to penetrate Western markets can get more tips and insights at the show’s seminars. One seminar with Belinda Pilmore, director of the Institute of Personal Care Science, will discuss the complex issue of Regulations in the West.
A business-matching program in collaboration with official show partner Korea Cosmetic Association (KCA) will allow senior decision makers to connect with exhibitors via pre-arranged meetings.
“The Korean industry has been crying out for an exhibition like this for 10 years and the response from exhibitors has been phenomenal with 97% of the stands now sold. With the backing of KCA and our supporting associations NCR, IBITA and KCII, we are confident we will deliver a show full of technical innovation, educational benefits and customer insights,” Ms. Gibson said.
Free online visitor registration will open in March. The at-show registration will be US$10.
