IN-COSMETICS, the leading global trade event for personal care ingredients that has been at the forefront of the industry for 25 years, is poised for continued uptake.
More than 16,000 visitors attended in-cosmetics events in Germany, Brazil, and Thailand in 2014, and the number is forecast to grow by as much as 20% this year. Further expansion is expected with the launch of in-cosmetics Korea, which will be held in Seoul on June 15 and 16, and the growth of in-cosmetics Brasil, which was launched in 2014 and will be held this year in Sao Paulo from September 30 to October 1.
The new shows complement the highly anticipated Barcelona event to be held next month, and in-cosmetics Asia scheduled for November 3 to 5 in Bangkok. It will enable the in-cosmetics Group to increase its overall floor space this year to more than 65,000 square meters and run over 170 hours of seminars and workshops.
Korea is currently the fourth largest market in Asia. The new show is expected to gather more than 2,000 industry experts and over 150 exhibitors.
Riding on a successful inaugural run last year, in-cosmetics Brasil is being positioned as the event hub for the Latin American personal care industry. It will gather together visitors from Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, and other countries.
According to in-cosmetics Group director Lucy Gillam, “Korea is an exciting development. Alongside our Brazilian show, it is part of our vision to expand in-cosmetics into recognized but growing local markets. In Brazil and Korea, in-cosmetics is the only event to exclusively target the personal care industry, offering a focused and unrivalled opportunity for companies to connect with the global marketplace.”
Ms. Gillam forecasts 2015 to be even bigger and better for in-cosmetics with the realization of the Group’s strategy to build a portfolio of events that caters to the needs of the industry on a global, regional, or even local level.
“With our European event acknowledged as the world’s meeting place for the personal care ingredients industry, Thailand the hub for the Asian region as a whole, and the new Korea and Brazil events catering for these fast growing and increasingly influential markets, there is definitely an event to suit everyone. We are confident that our 2015 exhibitions will break visitor and attendance records and we look forward to welcoming the world and facilitating knowledge, sharing and business,” Ms. Gillam said.
