Cost-effective thermal transfer printer

NORWOOD Marking Systems / Allen Coding Systems has introduced a new continuous motion thermal transfer printer that costs 40% less than traditional thermal transfer printers yet provides many of the advanced features of the more expensive systems. The affordable 53LTc offers OEMs and end-users a cost effective way to upgrade from hot stamp printing to more versatile thermal transfer printing. Also new is the PR5 handheld controller, which is half the size of its other handheld controllers and features a USB port for faster and easier uploading of images. To further ease operation, the new user interface offers a selection of 12 languages. The new controller comes standard on the 53LT and is an option on other Norwood / Allen printers. The two-component design offers a single connection point, while minimizing space requirements and improving reliability. This compact printer can be easily integrated with a wide range of host equipment such as vertical and horizontal FFS systems, primary labelers, thermoformers and overwrapping equipment. It offers a print area of up to 53mm wide and 50mm long and can print at speeds of up to 400mm per second.
