CHINAPLAS 2014 is Conair Group’s major exhibition in Asia and the company, represented by Conair Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, aimed to bring quality equipment to China’s fast-growing PET processing sector. For instance, the new Conair MDA Series mould dryers deliver a flow of air that has been dried to a -10°C (14°F) dew point. The dry air surrounding the mould prevents moisture from condensing out of warm humid ambient air onto cool mold surfaces. The system is ideal for the moulding of PET preforms and other products which require low-mould temperatures to maintain short cycle times.
To provide PET processors with products and services to meet their unique requirements, The Conair Group has formed a global team that includes representatives from engineering, sales, project management and service. The China-based team members have a total of 15 years’ experience in the PET market. “The entire PET material handling and conditioning process is critical to making quality products,” explained Joachim Lim, General Manager Conair in Asia. “PET is a technically challenging material, and many of our customers process extremely high volumes. These companies are highly knowledgeable and quite demanding, so we need to deliver the products, service and technical knowledge required to optimise processing, cut costs and increase efficiency.”
