COSMOPROF is the major event that brings together professionals from the cosmetics and beauty sector from all five continents. Here are some of the figures from the 2013 edition: 193,482 visitors from 135 countries, 2,390 exhibitors (including 1,500 from abroad), 24 country pavilions (with new countries taking part each year).
An increasingly packed programme of initiatives makes Cosmoprof the sector’s essential event: the most recent edition hosted 745 journalists, including 174 from abroad, who were greeted by a digital system of mega-screens providing a live broadcast of the fair’s major events, which were also shown via live streaming on the website.
“Rather than a ‘fair’, we prefer to talk about a ‘showcase’ of trends, innovation and research,” which are the cornerstones of the event.” explains Dino Tavazzi, CEO of Sogecos Spa. “We are investing a great deal in order to have an increasingly qualified audience of visitors in Bologna.
"We are also working on setting up International Buyer Delegations, which will ensure an influx of buyers from the following countries: India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, the USA, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Amman, Iraq, Russia, South Africa and all of Europe. On top of this, we are drawing up a programme full of initiatives which will embrace all the sectors represented at the event. We will also be involving the city of Bologna this year with the Cosmoprof Beauty in Vogue Night, organised in partnerhip with Vogue magazine,” Mr Tavazzi also said.
The Extraordinary Gallery, which showcases an intriguing and varied selction of products: jewellery, fragrances, beauty products, accessories and many other items, also deserves a mention. And, also from a lifestyle perspective, Cosmoprof will be hosting an exhibition of photos by the great master Oliviero Toscani.Puma Rihanna Creeper
