Although the global economy faces a number of serious challenges, there are still many growing businesses in Taiwan, supporting the country’s growing revenue. Known for its well-honed products, Taiwan keeps its healthy nature based on rigid technological support. As a result, many manufacturers are able to turn peril into safety during the repeated boom and bust.
Taiwan gear motor reducer manufacturer CPG Cheng Pang encounters no business issues because the company exports nothing but quality products, being one of the best in the reducer sector. CPG Cheng Pang offers reducers for various purposes, including machineries for metalworking, plastics injection, food processing, woodworking, swing out door, electronics industry, and packaging machines.
Chairman Chien Lien-Sheng of CPG Cheng Pang is an expert in reducer machinery. He develops machineries based on his experiences in creating carton packaging equipment. With his specialisation, he uses his knowledge in developing reducers for various sectors in Taiwan. Regarding the metalworking industry, CPG Cheng Pang reducers can be applied to ATC cam box motor and the machine tool chip removal devices.
Executive Assistant Chien Guo-lung (Jacky) of CPG Cheng Pang spoke to IMNA regarding its product offers, fposition, and plans in the ASEAN market.
IMNA: What are the benefits CPG Cheng Pang technology provide?
Jacky Chien: We provide durable drivers for conveyer belts. The conveyer belt industry has a high standard in terms of durability. Many of our drivers operate 24 hours a day within rigorous environment. Aside from durability, we focus on producing quiet, and low vibration reducers. These reducers are applied to automatic tool changer systems, providing accurate tool positioning.
When these high quality reducers are applied to ATC systems, the industry standard is thus elevated and that, is a significant contribution. We make our own motor units for the reducers and have full control on the production line. As a result, our product is better in temperature resistance compared to our rivals.
I can say that wherever there is demand for reducer, we are able to provide suitable solutions for customers. CPG Cheng Pang can work with customers from different sectors.
IMNA: How do you keep your leading position?
Jacky Chien: With regard to internal management, we work in three phases to advance our competitiveness:
1) Immediately prepare products and make them ready for shipment within one day.

IMNA: What are your plans for the future?
Jacky Chien: We find applications in the mechanical parking systems a very good business, and we want to expand in this field. We adopted grinding machines to replace skiving machines in our production lines to produce more advanced products.
We have a diversified operations in the ASEAN region. In Vietnam, our reducers are installed onto agricultural and fishing equipment, especially about packaging and transmission. Meanwhile, in Indonesia our products apply to paper industry, ranging from woodworking to paper manufacture. In Thailand, our products are for both agricultural and machine tool sectors, which are all important industries there. We aim to keep our strength in the ASEAN market as it grows day by day.
Now we have dealers working in Mainland China, the Middle East, USA, UK, and Australia. We cooperate with HITEK in the USA to trudge the conventional industry. In the future, we plan to look for local dealers in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines.
