IMNEA: Can you tell us about your operations in EMEA,  when did it begin; do you have offices in Middle East and Africa?  If yes, do these facilities/offices offer the same 3D portable measurement solutions?

WILCOX: The strategy of Creaform to address the Middle East and African market is to cooperate with local partners in order to promote and distribute the Creaform technologies,  which are the  same 3D portable measurement solutions providing all over the world. These partners are specialists on the different areas in Middle East and Africa and can fulfil all thedemands of this specific market.

IMNEA:  How long did Creaform achieve its presence in the Middle East & Africa? Do you have other upcoming facility constructions in these regions?

WILCOX:  Creaform is present on the Middle East and African market since the release of its first portable scanner (Handyscan 3D?) in 2005, and is proud to count more than 10 local resellers all over the area with major references such as BMW in South Africa or the famous KSU King Saud University in Saudi Arabia.

IMNEA: What market opportunities or major application areas do you see growing rapidly for Creaform in the Middle East and Africa with the metalworking industry in mind?

WILCOX: Middle East and Africa is an area that Creaform team follows with high attention as it is growing and developing fast with lots of new business opportunities and challenges. The markets that we especially target are Turkey, Saudi Arabia, United Arabs Emirates and the Republic of South Africa. South Africa is for Creaform the strongest industry in Africa especially with the well-established automotive segment with lots of suppliers  in  the  metalworking industry, while UAE makes its distinction with the aerospace industry.
